Welcome to our newest lab member, Sandy Cruz! Sandy is a transfer student that is also part of the BUILD-PODER program. Welcome, Sandy!
We have a new publication of work done in collaboration with Dr Abrol. Sayuri Pacheco, Marlyn Widjaja and Jafaeth Gomez, all former members of our group, are co-authors! Congratulations, all! You can find the paper in the journal Biophysical Chemistry.
Congratulations to our newest graduates! Imex, Narek and Selin are receiving BS Biochemistry degrees, and Dane is receiving his MS in Biochemistry! Sad that we cannot celebrate in person, but it does not diminish the accomplishment!
Today Dane successfully defended his Master’s thesis! It was an unusual presentation format, because he had to present to everyone via Zoom, but he did a great job! Congratulations, Dane! Too bad we couldn’t have an in-person party.
Akemi participated in the first-ever (and hopefully last) virtual version of CSUNposium! She submitted a poster for judging and won second place in her category (undergraduate, preliminary stage). Congratulations, Akemi!
Congratulations to Dane, who has been accepted to the PhD program at the University of Connecticut Health Sciences Center! Well done, Dane! Now you’ll find out what real winter feels like 🙂
Congratulations to Imex for being accepted to the PhD program at UC Riverside! We are all very excited for him!
Dane, Imex and Karin attended the CSUPERB Symposium in Santa Clara. Both Dane and Imex presented posters of their research. Imex also competed as a finalist for the Nagel Undergraduate Research Award. Although someone else was ultimately named the winner, we are all very proud of Imex and how well he was able to present… Continue reading January 17-18, 2020
Congratulations to Imex for being named 1 of the 8 finalists for the Nagel Undergrad Research Award! He will compete at the upcoming CSUPERB Symposium in January.
