Congratulations to Imex for being named 1 of the 8 finalists for the Nagel Undergrad Research Award! He will compete at the upcoming CSUPERB Symposium in January.

The lab took a deserved evening break and went out bowling! Some very creative bowling methods were explored. Fun was had by all!

Karin and Akemi travelled to Seattle to attend the Protein Society Symposium. It was a trip filled with cool science and some exploring!

Congratulations to Mackenzie and Lannah who graduated today! Mackenzie is already using her degree with her position at Amgen, and Lannah will be joining the PhD program at UCSD in the fall.

A big congratulations to Lannah – the department’s newest Jewett-Weigand Award winner, which is given to the outstanding graduating senior in biochemistry! Well done, Lannah!
