Dane Geddes-Buehre has joined the lab as our newest MS student.  He comes to us from UCSD where he earned his bachelor’s degree.  Welcome, Dane!

Eddie successfully defended his thesis at his departmental seminar today, which was well-attended. Eddie had many questions, which was a testament to how well the audience was able to follow his talk. Congratulations, Eddie!

Marlyn has been awarded a Graduate Fellowship for Outstanding Research Promise from the College of Science and Mathematics. The fellowship is worth $5000 for one year – big money!  Congratulations, Marlyn!

Yet again, Sam has won a poster prize!  This time he was participating in the SCURC (SoCal Undergraduate Research Conference) at UCLA, and he won “Best in show” for his poster presentation in the Biochemistry category.  Congratulations, Sam!

Sam has won second place among all undergraduate poster presenters at this year’s annual CSUNposium! His ability to explain difficult concepts impressed the judges. Congratulations, Sam!

Karin traveled to Keystone Colorado to attend the Keystone Conference “Frontiers of NMR in Life Sciences”. It was a great meeting – she was reunited with old friends and colleagues, as well as old Crowhurst lab member Thomas Schmidt.
